Diet Busters: 5 of America’s Highest Calorie Meals

Diet Busters: 5 of America’s Highest Calorie Meals

Happy Labor Day, everyone!

We trust many of you will be grilling out with friends and fam. As this is meant to be a day of rest and taking a break from it all, we also imagine you won’t exactly be counting your calories. And why should you? A couple hot dogs and burgers ain’t no thang.

But if you have been on a diet and are feeling guilty about this cheat holiday, the below list will make you feel better awfully fast… because at least you aren't gulping down any of these diet-busting, freak-of-nature dishes.

Many of the below heart-attacks-waiting-to-happen have been covered by The Center for Science in the Public Interest, a D.C.-based non-profit, so shouts to them.

1. Dave & Buster’s Carnivore Pizzadilla | 1,970 Calories

Imagine: A 12-inch quesadilla styled like an eight-slice pizza pie. A dish stuffed with cheddar and Manchego cheeses, Italian sausage, and pepperoni, then further topped with additional sausage and pepperoni, as well as bacon, marinara sauce, and Parmesan and mozzarella cheeses.

You don’t have to dream it up, though, cuz this one is real and offered at Dave & Buster’s—along with its 67 g of saturated fat and 4,440 mg sodium. As the Center for Science in the Public Interest puts it, it’s the equivalent of “half a stick of butter melted over three McDonald’s Quarter Pounders with Cheese.”

2. The Cheesecake Factory’s Pasta Napoletana | 2,310 Calories

The Cheesecake Factory decided to turn a meat lover’s pizza into a pasta, so they’ve taken a Parmesan and Cream Pasta and dumped garlic, onions, Italian sausage, pepperoni, mushrooms, pepper, bacon, meatballs, and tomato sauce on top. This results in the same amount of calories as a whole medium pizza. Wow.

3. Chili’s Ultimate Smokehouse Combo | 2,440 Calories

You get your choice of three meats for this “ultimate” combo of death, but to eclipse the 2,000 calorie mark you need only settle on the jalapeño-cheddar smoked sausage, battered Chicken Crispers with honey-mustard dipping sauce, and a half rack of ribs. The sides include: homestyle fries, roasted street corn, chili-garlic toast, and garlic dill pickles.

All-in-all, it’s equal to downing three Chili’s Sirloin Steak Dinners—you’ll be enjoying 41 g of saturated fat and 7,610 mg of sodium. Hooray!

4. Texas Roadhouse’s 16-oz. Prime Rib with Loaded Sweet Potato | 2,820 Calories

72 g of saturated fat. 5,330 g of sodium. An estimated 51 g of added sugar. 2,820 total calories.

Yup. That’s the 16-oz. prime rib, caesar salad, and loaded sweet potato from Texas Roadhouse, the latter of which is topped with caramel sauce and mini-marshmallows. You thought getting the salad was a “smart” choice? You were wrong.

5. Dickey’s Barbecue Pit’s 3-Meat Plate | 3,816 Calories

And now for the grand finale: the 3-Meat Plate from Dickey’s Barbecue Pit.

How in the hell does it reach 3,816 calories? Well, it’s seriously a personal feast comprised of pork ribs, Polish sausage, and beef brisket, paired up with fried onion and macaroni and cheese. Ah, carbs. All told, aside from the insane calories, you’re also be “benefitting” from 190 grams of fat, 133 grams saturated fat, 6,834 mg of sodium, and 149 grams of added sugar.

Insane.
