Recap: The BucketLust’s Bahamas Route Was Everything

The BucketLust’s recent Bahamas experience was… yeah, this is one of those times where the pictures can tell the story better than we can. (But hey, we’ll try, anyway.)

For those unfamiliar, the BucketLust is all about redefining the vacation experience. It’s a series of crowd-powered blowout adventures each year that have participants (better known as “party unicorns”) assemble their crew and take to the high seas in the name of discovery, debauchery, and delight.

Think of it as a 100% crowdsourced party project for the ages. It breaks down as follows:

  1. You choose your event/destination.
  2. You pick the perfect yacht.
  3. You throw together your madcap crew of delightful degenerates.
  4. You prep your mind, body, and soul for something that’s gonna readjust your expectations for the rest of your life going forward.
  5. Everyone benefits from group discounts and maximized value.

^ All of the above is exactly what the thrill-seekers on The Bahamas Route did this past NYE. Kicking off on Dec. 30, the excursion took each participant to the Abacos Islands, a group of islands and barrier cays that stretch for 120 miles in the Bahamas. Locales visited included Great Guana Cay, Nunjuck Cay, Green Turtle Cay, Treasure Cay, and Elbow Cay.

So, what did they get into? Everything. But more specifically, the crew hit Nippers Bar (one of the most famous beach bars in all of The Bahamas), snorkeled with sea turtles and nurse sharks, partied at The Green Turtle Club Resort, went all-in on UV lube wrestling, fed the charming oinkers at “Piggy Beach,” and got real sporting with a full-scale Regatta (yacht race).

How friggin’ intense is your FOMO right now? Well, don’t sit by and do nothing about it—get in on The BucketLust now. After all, there’s still time to sign up for The Sardinia Route.
